Graphite rods are commonly used in electric heaters of high-temperature vacuum furnaces. They have a small thermal expansion coefficient, a large thermal conductivity, good workability rods, high temperature resistance, excellent cold and extreme heat resistance, and cheaper prices. Common graphite rods include high-purity graphite rods, impregnated graphite rods, and conductive graphite rods.
High-purity graphite rods are made of high-density, high-strength, high-purity graphite, which is more wear-resistant than ordinary graphite, but also relatively wear-resistant. Some graphite products need to be on rotating equipment, so this needs to be super wear-resistant, because high-purity graphite will have dust when repeatedly rotated and rubbed, so that high-purity graphite rods are not very wear-resistant.
